ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତସାର | Abstract
ଉତ୍ତର-ଅଶୀ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତା ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସାମାଜିକ–ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ଜୀବନବୋଧର ଗଭୀର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନକୁ ଆତ୍ମସାତ କରି ନୂତନ ଚେତନାତ୍ମକ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଭଙ୍ଗୀର ବିନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଛି। ଏହି ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନର ପରିପ୍ରେକ୍ଷୀରେ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଚେତନା, ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଭକ୍ତିମୟ ଧାରାକୁ ଅତିକ୍ରମକରି ସାମାଜିକ, ଦାର୍ଶନିକ ଓ ମାନବୀୟ ପ୍ରତୀକରେ ରୂପାନ୍ତରିତ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହି ପ୍ରବନ୍ଧରେ ଅଶୀ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତାରେ ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଚେତନା କିପରି ନୂତନ ଭାବବୋଧ, ରୂପକ, ଭାଷା ଓ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିକୋଣରେ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇଛି ତାହାର ଏକ ସମାଲୋଚନାତ୍ମକ ପାଠକୀୟ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇଛି। ସଚ୍ଚିଦାନନ୍ଦ ରାଉତରାୟ, ଗୁରୁପ୍ରସାଦ ମହାନ୍ତି, ଦୀପକ ମିଶ୍ର, ବେଣୁଧର ରାଉତ ପରି କବିମାନଙ୍କ କବିତାରେ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ କେବଳ ଦେବତା ରୂପେ ନୁହେଁ ବରଂ ସେ ସମୟର ସାକ୍ଷୀ, ଅସମତାର ପ୍ରତିବାଦୀ ସ୍ଵର, ମାନବୀୟ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାର ସହଯାତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ୱବାଦୀ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣର ଏକ ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ପ୍ରତୀକ ଭାବେ ଉପସ୍ଥାପିତ। ଏହି ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ ଦର୍ଶାଏ ଯେ ଅଶୀ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତାରେ ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥୀୟ ଚେତନା ଆଧୁନିକ ସଂକଟବୋଧ ଓ ମାନବୀୟ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା ସହ ସଂଲଗ୍ନ ହୋଇ ଏକ ନୂତନ ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ମାନଦଣ୍ଡ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛି।

Post-eighties Odia poetry has assimilated the profound transformations in the socio-cultural consciousness of Odisha and has constructed new modes of perceptual and aesthetic awareness. Within the context of these changes, Jagannath consciousness has transcended its traditional devotional framework and has been transformed into a social, philosophical, and humanistic symbol.
This paper presents a critical, reader-oriented exploration of how Jagannath consciousness has been re-envisioned in post-1980 Odia poetry through new sensibilities, metaphors, linguistic expressions, and perspectives. In the poetry of writers such as Sachchidananda Routray, Guruprasad Mohanty, Deepak Mishra, and Benudhar Rout, Jagannath no longer appears merely as a deity; rather, He emerges as a witness to the times, a voice of protest against inequality, a companion in human suffering, and a universal symbol of existential inquiry.
The study demonstrates that in post-eighties Odia poetry, Jagannath consciousness has become deeply intertwined with modern crises of existence and human aspirations, thereby creating a new literary paradigm. This transformation signifies a shift from ritualistic devotion to a broader engagement with contemporary social realities and philosophical concerns, enriching the interpretative possibilities of Odia poetic discourse.
