Bageesha is a bi-monthly, ISSN-recognized (3107-4294 (PRINT) | 2583-9543 (ONLINE), open-access, peer-reviewed, and refereed Odia journal dedicated to advancing research and knowledge across diverse fields. Its special research section encourages in-depth academic discussions on literature, society, culture, art, history, anthropology, philosophy, science, and related disciplines.

In recent years, Bageesha has gained recognition for its unique approach in fostering a research-oriented mindset among youth and creating a new framework for the future of Odia studies. ‘ବାଗୀଶ’ ଏକ ଦ୍ୱି-ମାସିକ ଗବେଷଣା ଓ ଆଲୋଚନାଧର୍ମୀ ISSN ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ ରେଫରିଡ୍ ପିଅର ରିଭିଉଡ ଜର୍ଣ୍ଣାଲ (Refereed Peer-Reviewed Jornal)। ‘ବାଗୀଶ’ର ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଗବେଷଣା ବିଭାଗରେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ, ସମାଜ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି, କଳା, ଇତିହାସ, ନୃତତ୍ତ୍ୱ, ଦର୍ଶନ, ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଆଦି ବିବିଧ ପ୍ରେକ୍ଷାର ଗବେଷଣାତ୍ମକ ଆଲୋଚନା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଥାଏ। ‘ବାଗୀଶ’ ଯୁବପିଢ଼ିଙ୍କୁ ଗବେଷଣାମନସ୍କ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରୟାସ କରିବା ସହ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଆଭିମୁଖ୍ୟ ନେଇ ସଂପ୍ରତି ଦଣ୍ଡାୟମାନ ହୋଇଛି ଏବଂ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ପାଇଁ ନୂତନ ରୂପରେଖ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିଅଛି।

ଏହା ୨୦୨୩ ମସିହା ଜାନୁଆରୀ ମାସରୁ ଧାରାବାହିକ ଭାବେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଆସୁଛି । ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଏହା ଇ-ପତ୍ରିକା ଭାବେ କେବଳ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ । ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି ଓ ଲୋକ ସାହିତ୍ୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଗବେଷଣାକୁ ତ୍ୱରାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବା ଏହାର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ । ତରୁଣ ଗବେଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସମାଲୋଚନା ସାହିତ୍ୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଯୋଗଦାନ ପାଇଁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରି ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ହିଁ ଏହାର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ। ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହଯୋଗ ଓ ପ୍ରେରଣା ସର୍ବଦା ଆମର ଧେୟ । ତେଣୁ ଆସନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତେ ମିଶି ବାଗୀଶକୁ ଆଗେଇନେବା ନୂତନ ଦିଗନ୍ତ ସନ୍ଧାନର ଅଭିମୁଖେ।

ଏହା ଉଭୟ ଅନଲାଇନ ଓ ମୁଦ୍ରିତ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ।

ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଓ ପରିଧି:

ବାଗୀଶାର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା, ସାହିତ୍ୟ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି ଓ ଅନୁଶାସନତ୍ମକ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ ବିଷୟରେ ଉଚ୍ଚମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ଧାନକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହନ କରିବା। ଏହି ପତ୍ରିକା ଯୁବପିଢ଼ୀଙ୍କୁ ଗବେଷଣାମୁଖୀ ମନୋଭାବ ଗଢ଼ିବାରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ସହ ସମାନ୍ତରାଳ ଭାବେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଐତିହ୍ୟ, ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ସଂସ୍କୃତିକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଓ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପବଦ୍ଧ।

ବାଗୀଶ ପ୍ରତି ଦୁଇମାସରେ (Bi-Monthly) ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ପିୟର-ରିଭ୍ୟୁଡ଼, ଖୋଲା ପ୍ରବେଶ (Open Access) ପତ୍ରିକା। ଏଥିରେ ଶିକ୍ଷକ, ଗବେଷକ, ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ଓ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ଗବେଷକମାନେଙ୍କ ମୂଳ ଅବଦାନକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ସୁବିଧା ଦିଆଯାଏ। ପତ୍ରିକା ଯୁବଗବେଷକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହନ ଦେବା ସହିତ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ପୁନଃଜୀବନ ଦେବା ଓ ଗତକାଲ ଓ ଆଗାମୀକୁ ଜୋଡ଼ିବାରେ ନିରନ୍ତର ସମର୍ପିତ।
