ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତସାର | Abstract
ଓଡିଶାରେ ଅନେକ ଭାଷାଭାଷୀ ଲୋକ ବସବାସ କରନ୍ତି। ଭାଷାଭିତ୍ତିରେ ଗଠିତ ପ୍ରଥମ ରାଜ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ଓଡିଶା। ଓଡିଶାର ଅଧିବାସୀ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷୀ। ତଥାପି ଓଡିଶାରେ ଅନେକ ଭାଷାଭାଷୀ ଲୋକ ବସବାସ କରନ୍ତି। ଓଡିଶାର ଭାଷା କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ବ୍ୟାପକ। ମାନକ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷା ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ହେଉଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଭିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ଭାଷା ପ୍ରଚଳିତ। ଓଡିଶାରେ ଅନେକ ଉପଭାଷା ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚଳିତ। ସେହି ସବୁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆଦିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଭାଷା ରହିଛି। କନ୍ଧମାନଙ୍କ କୁଇ, ଗୋଣ୍ଡମାନଙ୍କର ଗୋଣ୍ଡି, ଭତରାମାନଙ୍କର ଭତରୀ, ସଉରାମାନଙ୍କର ସଉରୀ, ସାନ୍ତାଳମାନଙ୍କର ସାନ୍ତାଳୀ ପରି ବଞ୍ଜାରାମାନଙ୍କର ବଞ୍ଜାରୀ ଭାଷା ରହିଛି। ଭାଷା ହେଉଛି ଗୋଟିଏ ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟର ପରିଚୟ। ଭାଷା ଗୋଟିଏ ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟକୁ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର କରିରଖିଥାଏ। ଭାଷାର ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ରତା ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟ ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପାର୍ଥକ୍ୟ ସୂଚୀତ କରେ। ଏହି ଧାରାରେ ଓଡିଶାରେ ବସବାସ କରୁଥିବା ବଞ୍ଜାରା ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟର ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଭାଷା ରହିଛି। ଯାହା ବଞ୍ଜାରୀ ଭାଷା ନାମରେ ପରିଚିତ। ଉକ୍ତ ପ୍ରବନ୍ଧରେ ଉକ୍ତ ଭାଷାର ବିଶ୍ଳେଷଣପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରାଯାଇଛି।
ମୂଳଶବ୍ଦ: ବଞ୍ଜାରା, ବଞ୍ଜାରୀ ଭାଷା, ଆଦିବାସୀ, ସଂପ୍ରଦାୟ, ଭାଷା, ଓଡିଆ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି, ବ୍ୟାକରଣ, କଥିତ ଭାଷା, ଶବ୍ଦ ।

Odisha is a land inhabited by people of many tongues. Distinguished as the first state in India to be formed on a linguistic basis, Odisha is primarily the homeland of Odia-speaking people. Yet, beyond this dominant linguistic identity, the state embraces a rich mosaic of diverse language communities. The linguistic horizon of Odisha is both vast and expansive. Although Standard Odia remains widely prevalent, different regions of the state sustain their own distinct linguistic forms and variations. Numerous dialects flourish alongside the standard language, enriching the linguistic fabric of the region.
Equally significant is the presence of indigenous and tribal languages that contribute profoundly to Odisha’s cultural diversity. Tribal communities preserve their linguistic heritage through languages such as Kui spoken by the Kondh people, Gondi by the Gond community, Bhatari by the Bhatara, Sauri by the Saura community, and Santali by the Santals. In a similar vein, the Banjara community nurtures its own distinct linguistic tradition known as Banjari.
Language is more than a medium of communication; it is the living emblem of a community’s identity. It sustains cultural continuity and safeguards the distinctiveness of a social group. Through its unique structures and expressions, language delineates the boundaries between communities and affirms their individuality. In this continuum of linguistic diversity, the Banjara community of Odisha stands apart through its language, Banjari. The present study seeks to explore and analyze this language, shedding light on its characteristics and its role in shaping the cultural identity of the community.
